Reservation Policy

THE FOLLOWING ARE RESERVATION TERMS FOR ROD N REEL RESORT. PLEASE READ THROUGH THESE PRIOR BOOKING.

PLEASE NOTE that we require 48-hour notice for all reservations. 

​

ADVANCE PAYMENT:

All reservations require advance payment at the time of booking. The advance payment is fully refundable up to thirty (30) days before your arrival date, minus a 5% processing fee.

​

CONFIRMED RESERVATIONS:

We accept VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER, AMERICAN EXPRESS, and DINERS CLUB. A confirmed reservation will hold your accommodations through the night of your arrival. 

​

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY:

We do enforce our maximum occupancy. Please reserve the appropriate cottage for the number of guests in your group. You will be asked to make other accommodations for additional guests if the number is exceeded. If you are not willing to do so we will ask the entire party to immediately vacate and no refund will be given for the unused portion of your stay and will not be allowed to book with us again in the future.

HOUSEKEEPING:

We are a self-check-in and self-checkout property. We do not offer daily housekeeping. Each unit is equipped with linens and bath towels for your use during your stay. Please do not remove these items from your cottage. Each cottage, except for our glamping tents, has a washer and dryer for your use during your stay.

 

PROPERTY: 

We share grounds with Rod N Reel Pointe, a privately owned community. Our guests WILL NOT have access to their amenities, including their boat dock, swimming pool, laundry facility, and playground area as this trespassing. It is important to us be good neighbors. Please honor their privacy by using the roads and walking paths to and from the boat dock.

BOAT DOCK/SWIM PLATFORM: 

PLEASE OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING DOCK RULES: 
ALL PERSONS USING THIS DOCK DO SO AT THEIR OWN RISK
1. No Lifeguard on Duty; Swim at Own Risk
2. No Diving
3. No Smoking
4. No Glass or Alcoholic Beverages on Swim Platform
5. No Running or Horseplay on Dock
6. No Refueling on Boat Dock
7. Children Under 18 Must be Supervised by an Adult

 

PEAK & NON-PEAK SEASON MINIMUMS:

All reservations from October through April require a (2) two-night minimum stay.

All reservations for May and September require a (3) three-night minimum stay.

All reservations for June, July, and August require a (4) four-night minimum stay.

 

Some exceptions might be available between reservations and on weekdays.

PET-FREE RESORT:

Absolutely not. Please do not inquire. We love furry friends, but Rod N Reel is a PET-FREE resort. Pets are not allowed in the rooms or on the grounds. Should a pet be discovered, you will be billed a $400 cleaning and deodorizing fee and you will be asked to immediately vacate the premises without a refund and will not be allowed to book with us again in the future.

 

NON-SMOKING POLICY:

Smoking/vaping is not allowed in the cottages or on the boat dock. Guests electing to ignore our no smoking/vaping policy in the rooms will be assessed a $400 cleaning and deodorizing fee and will be asked to immediately vacate the premises without a refund and will not be allowed to book with us again in the future.

CHECK-IN TIME:

Our check-in time is 3:00 pm. Because we are a self-check-in and self-check-out resort we are not staffed to coordinate and manage early arrivals or departures so please do not inquire. Do not enter the cottage before 3:00 pm even if it appears ready. Our team utilizes this time to prepare the cottage for your arrival.

CHECK-OUT TIME:

Our check-out time is 10:00 am sharp. Check-out instructions will be emailed to you before your stay. We cannot accommodate a late check-out as our cleaning team needs access to prepare the room for the next guest. Thank you for honoring this check-out time.

ROOM DAMAGES:

You are responsible for leaving the cottage, boat dock and property in the same condition (with normal usage) as it was found when you arrived. The registered guest will be held responsible for any and all damages to the cottage, property and boat dock found during or after departure.

This property is privately owned and operated. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. If you violate our maximum occupancy we will ask that you make other accommodations to meet our maximum number of guests. We assume no responsibility for accidents or injuries to guests, boats, or vehicles. We are not responsible for loss or damage to valuables or personal property. Our grounds are under 24-hour video surveillance.
